Transit time from Sri Lanka to your destination may vary due to an air traffic error, an emergency customs detention, incorrect addresses or telephone numbers or the omission of notices from delivery companies.

European Union Value-Added Tax (VAT) will be charged for your parcel from 1 July 2021 – We do not control or oversee governmental regulations, including the EU VAT reform rules and regulations. We have facilitated you to pay these duties online or at the parcel delivery.
With effect from the 1st March 2023, there will be an update to the European Union’s Import Control System (ICS2) for all goods entering the EU by air. EU customs authorities will collect certain customs data prior to departure and arrival for shipments entering the European Union.
please ensure you enter the following data when creating a shipment. This will help to ensure the smooth clearance processing of your shipment and avoid potential delays or penalties.
- Detailed goods description (read the full EU guidance on the acceptable and non-acceptable terms for the description of goods)
- Six-digit Harmonized System (HS) codes for each commodity listed on the commercial invoice. Shippers can consult the website of the World Customs Organization

All additional payments including customs duties, inspection charges in addition to freight charges are payable by the recipient of the parcel.
We are only obligated to reimburse you the freight charges incurred in the event of an emergency before it reach your destination.
Retention, parts or complete destruction may occur after the parcel is inspected by Customs at the destination and all losses incurred therein shall be borne by you as the sender of the parcel.
When a parcel is rejected by the Customs, if you want to bring it back to Sri Lanka, you have to bear all the expenses and if not, they will destroy the parcel.
Therefore, if you want, you can insure the goods and get the loss in case of an emergency from the insurance company.
Insurance is available with an additional fee. With insurance, the value of the goods declared shall not in any event exceed USD 1,000 or its LKR equivalent per package.
An additional 2% of the declared value will be billed to the customer as Insurance charges with a minimum fee USD 10 in addition to the Freight cost.
When declaring a value in excess of $50, the customer needs to provide the commercial invoice with correct values, proper bills and payment receipts for includes. If unable to provide, will continue the process with agency limitations.
Damages of the shipments should be notified to your destination local delivery team within the day and should obtain a complain reference number and inform Best Ceylon team same day with the reference number.
Refund Policy – We do not issue refunds for purchased goods.
Return Policy – We do not accept returns
International Shipping For purposes hereof, an item shall be deemed to be in Best Ceylon’s Possession until the package is passed to the appointed Service Provider, and a shipping tracking number is available.
In the event of loss or damage out of Best Ceylon’s Possession, We will facilitate the communication, using our best efforts, with the appointed Service Provider and transfer along to you any reimbursement received in accordance with the terms and conditions of the appointed Service Provider used. The Client agrees that they shall have no claim against Best Ceylon under such circumstances and will look to the Service Provider in respect of any claim arising out of the loss or damage to their Shipment.
Do not accept your parcel, If the seal is broken or package is damaged. Take a picture and return it with the same delivery person. If you accepted with the damages, we are unable to accept your complain and no claim will be granted.

Online Payments are accepted from major Credit cards and additional 4.8% surcharge will be added.
When payments are made via bank deposit or ATMs, needs to share the payment slip and confirm.
